All BSA Chapters must abide by the following guidelines to ensure their chapter has stability within the school & deep involvement with the organization.
Advisor/Sponsor: A faculty advisor or staff sponsor must oversee the club. Sponsors must oversee in-school club meetings. Your school must approve them.
Approved Club Status: The club must be officially recognized by your school (All school requirements met).
External Project: Each club must organize at least one business-related project or initiative that extends beyond school activities (e.g., local business partnership, community event, simulation fair).
Network & IABA Involvement: Clubs must demonstrate engagement with the BSA Network and IABA. (If members are completing their requirements, this guideline is considered fulfilled).
Weekly Reports: Chapters must report updates every 2 weeks on their chapter's activity. (Examples include: in-school planning, executing club meetings, and participation in BSA Network or IABA-related events).
Hour Requirement: Minimum of 8 hours of event involvement per year.
Attendance: Attend at least 4 official BSA/IABA events (events take place once per month).
Requirements can be split by semester (Ex, 4 hours & 2 events per semester). As members attend events, they will fulfill both the hour & attendance requirement naturally together.
Cords: Awarded to members who meet all base requirements. (Provided by the Individual Chapter).
Stoles: Awarded to students who exceed expectations in leadership, impact, or involvement. (Provided to the specific members recognized by IABA & BSA).
